Nikkor 18-55mm Lens Profile & Calibration

Ready to make a lens profile (focal length driven) for a Nikon D3200 18-55 VR. I will use the checkerboard pattern to create a distortion model for each focal length. In the end, I will create a smooth curve from 18 to 55 mm. The photos will have to be not orthogonal to the checkerboard for a correct calculation of the focal length due to lens breathing.

I finally found the time to create a custom lens profile for the Nikkor 18-55mm kit lens. This profile corrects barrel distortion, pincushion distortion, and vignetting across the zoom range.

Here are the initial setup reference photos showing the alignment check, camera positioning, and distance tracking for the calibration setup:
